Road Trip Ideas...

I have decided that we need to take a road trip. The longest trip that we have taken is down to Logandale - and it's not really a road trip when it only takes 4 hours....

SO, does anyone have any great ideas? Places we could go over a weekend? **With lots of nice stops on the way?** We've been all over this area of Utah and Shane knows it like the back of his hand, hence we need something NEW!! Maybe northern NV or Idaho? I'll take a poll and whoever wins gets a souvenir! Just kidding.... no souvenirs, just the satisfaction that your idea won me over. **Somewhere with lots of good photo-ops too!!!**

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has been on any day-trips that were very interesting and out of the Utah Valley area (Park City area will be excluded from this "poll" as well!). We just need to get out of town for a little bit without spending a lot of $$$$

It's a nine hour drive from Salt lake. there is alot of mountains to go hiking, places were you could go rafting or canoeing. And alot of fishing to be done. if you left on friday morning you could make it here and have fun all weekend long.sry the nearest walmart is 150 miles away in lewiston.

  4. oh i like the Moab idea. Its realy pretty down there. There is no where to stop on the way, but there is lots to do when you get there. Theres Dead Horse Point(very prety), Arches National Park (lots of small hikes), Caynon Lands National Park (i havnt done much there) & Hole in the Rock (thats a must do if you go). Plus they have lots of Hotels and Campgrounds (if you wana take the trailer), & a couple realy good eating spots. It takes about 3 or 4 hrs to get there.

  6. Chase and did the Capitol Reef, Escalante loop and the trip was awesome. You have to go offroad a bit but we saw many cool sites, You could start in Hanksville, drive to Bullfrog and see Lake Powell then over the Burr trail (the offroading part) then through Boulder and back up to Torrey. It was so much fun.
PS So we aren't moving to LA, :( but I'm possibly going on a visit, any cool places near Creole?(spellcheck)

  7. OOh! OOOh! Go to Lava Hot Springs!! That's where we had our totally awesome honeymoon, you know. And it's cheap. They have a big "olympic size" swimming pool for the day and hot pools for night. And all of the cheap little hotel rooms there have giant bath tubs that fill directly from the hot springs. Oh, and there is some good tubing, but maybe not for Chloe. Pick mine!!
