I am GOOD!

I decided that it was time to make a King Cake. It has been 10 years since I have been able to "celebrate" Mardi Gras and the cake is so darn yummy! So, here is the process that I went through (the second half anyway). I thought it turned out pretty good!
Braiding dough is pretty tough.
Very messy.... I need more counter space.

Waiting.....
PERfect!

Logandale Chapel

If you haven't seen it yet, here's the gist... Very sad, but kinda cool (to see).

Chloe's New Best Friend

Well, Chloe has found her favorite new toy (for the time being). My mom had this huge teddy bear (I think it was given to one of my siblings by an ex???) and we brought it out for Chloe to play with. Needless to say, it is now in our possession and she loves it. See for yourself!

"Back up off this! It's mine!!"

IN Vegas....

The whole point of this trip was for Shane to take his test to get into the LVMPD Academy. We stayed at a hotel Monday night because his testing started at 8am on Tuesday and would last all day... literally. Our check out was at noon so me and Chloe had some time to kill! I went and visited my friend, Caitlin, in Henderson but Shane needed me to bring him food and some other stuff so that visit was short :( Anyway, below are just some pics from that 2-day trip.

Chloe had some ice-cream at the buffet... bad mommy, I know...

She loves to cheese it in pictures now. I don't know why, but I love it! She also really makes herself comfortable in her seat. She's always got a leg over the side.

We had to kill A LOT of time (but not enough to actually go anywhere) while Shane's last test was going on. I found a park on the GPS and we went! Chloe had some dinner and sat in the swing - which she did not like.

After it got too chilly, we just found a spot in the back of the parking lot and hung out - for like and hour.... I just put Chloe in the passenger seat and let her play with her toy. She obviously enjoyed herself.

Well, Shane passed all of his pre-testing and was scheduled for an interview! I went in with him. He hates pictures, but it's like the first day of school! You have to document it :) I cruised around the Ross while he was at the interview. When that got old, we just sat in the car! This was, however, a MUCH shorter wait than the day before - just an hour total!
She always end up crossing her feet... Just a little lady, I guess!

Hoover Dam!

While we were in NV this week, we went to the Hoover Dam. I lived so close for 5 years, but I never really saw it.... It's really cool! They are building a suspension bridge over the river so we got to see some of that happening. Anyway, here are some pics from that day!

Here is Chloe just waiting for us to leave.....

I just bought these sunglasses and I thought they would be cute on Chloe... I was so right :)

KiSsEs!!

Chloe has been giving kisses a lot lately. They are little fish kisses, but so cute. When she actually gives kisses though, they are quite.... slobbery. She goes in, open mouth, tongue out! It's really cute!
So I thought I'd better post something nice after that last blog... So here is my update :) This is Chloe... She is getting so big!! I love it!

Daddy and Chloe at the Superbowl Party... I am sure that face means "People actually watch this stuff?!"
In her "big girl" car seat! She likes it and now Mommy and Daddy can see her!!
And FINALLY!!!! TWO TEETH!!! That's right, two! You can see both little beauties below. She has done really well - I think anyway. I hear these horror stories of babies who just cry all night and run fevers and all that. She has stirred some nights, but I have never gotten up. We've given her Tylenol maybe a handful of times. If she's anything like me though, it's probably not doing anything for her. She's just a tough little thing :)
