Ok - so I was just bored this evening and went in to Sally Beauty Supply. HOLY COW.... That place is awesome. I have only ever really been in to like the shampoo stores in the mall - you know, where the prices are outrageous? Well Sally is so awesome. I cannot wait until I am out of shampoo so I can go there and buy a Biolage comparable for $6!!!!

In other news... my little Chloe (have to specify which one there ;) ) has started saying "Love you". It's so cute. She is talking SO much. I mean, like a lot. She is constantly making noise - she talks herself to sleep and then starts talking the minute she wakes up. I promise you, I am not exaggerating. She will repeat almost any word you say so Shane and I (more Shane than me....) have to be very careful about what we say in front of her. We can have actual conversations with her now and it is clear that she knows exactly what we're talking about. I just love bragging about her. Even though I have 30+ nieces and nephews, I don't spend that much time with kids so I don't ever really know where she is - developmentally. But everyone who we come in contact with just says how advanced she seems. I just think of her as my little "Fat Princess"- my smart fat princess!

Photography...

So we went to St George this weekend and went also to Springdale - that's the town just before Zion's National Park. The last time we were there, we wandered into this photo gallery that I just could never forget. I tried finding it online, but for some reason couldn't. Well, I made sure we went in again this time. I tell you what - you want to talk about talent?!?! This guy - Michael Fatali - is AMAZING! He uses an old old camera - the kind that's always up on the tripod and just uses that plate for exposures --- a "large plate camera" is what it's called I guess. (OBVIOUSLY I know nothing about cameras). Anyway, he uses no filters, and NO computers - not a bit of touch-up work is done to his photos. They are, without a doubt, THE most amazing photos I have ever seen. I am getting Shane one of the prints for Christmas.... Maybe before... ;) shhh --- don't tell!

CRITICAL....

oK - So I am getting my hair done tomorrow. I am torn.... The two "options" below are very similar, but what do you think? I am TERRIFIED to go darker, but Shane wants me to. My natural color is closer to the bottom picture - anyway, I need opinions NOW so I can start getting used to the idea of being a possible brunette or whatever. This is very serious, folks. I have been blond my entire life.

Rather than spending 20 minutes trying to upload a bunch of pictures, I decided to just create a collage :) Here are a few of the many faces of Chloe lately! (PS - who does she look like....?)

In-N-Out ---- Or Not.

***DISCLAIMER: SOME READERS MIGHT FIND THE BLOG BELOW OFFENSIVE OR DISTURBING. CONTINUE AT YOUR OWN RISK***

WHO CARES??!?!?! There are two In-N-Outs (that I know of) opening in Utah County this year. Whoopidy-doo!! Shane and I were discussing this - so glad I married him :) We both agreed that we could care less and that we will not be eating at either of the "coming soon" restaurants.

It is a hamburger. Guess what.... there are about 50 other major/small chains that serve hamburgers too! And they taste just as good, if not better. Ok, I'm not saying that In-N-Out is bad at all, but come on people, it is a hamburger. It's not cooked in gold or served on silver platters. You don't get fanned with giant palm branches by goddesses draped in silk while eating there... (too far?)
To be perfectly honest, I would choose a
McDonald's $.89 hamburger over any other hamburger at ANY time. I do love those golden arches.

When I lived in Logandale and would take the occasional trip into Vegas with my friends, we just HAD to stop at the INO on Tropicana --- why??? Because it is a big fat novelty from California - and because it's from California, it is "cool". Because the owner is so selective about where he will allow his stores to be, it is "special". Because their menu is so simple it's "vintage".
(I still love my friends though :) It's not their fault that they were sucked into the black-hole )

I'm not trying to stir anything up or offend any INO lovers out there - but just know this, it's not that great.

Story to tell:

My Senior year, I told one of my friends that I liked Iceberg
better than In-N-Out (still true). He told me, "turn around, face the wall, and think about what you just said...". It was funny; you had to be there.
Some people reading this
were there and are hopefully laughing right now

*sigh*
